 HSJ Award for Donisthorpe?

We are all delighted here at Donisthorpe to announce that we have been shortlisted for the “Improving Care with Technology” category of the Health Service Journal (HSJ) awards. We are even prouder to be the only Care Home to have been shortlisted for any of the HSJ Awards.

The nomination was received due to the new system that Donisthorpe Hall has been piloting called SystmOne. SystmOne was created by The Phoenix Partnership (TPP) and is a way of sharing electronic medical records between our staff, GP’s and other urgent care providers. This allows our staff at Donisthorpe to deliver safer, more personalized, and better-coordinated care to our residents.

Our registered manager Suzy Musgrave went down to London last week to deliver a presentation to the Panel, which was made up of influential figures from the healthcare sector. The awards will be presented on 19 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. We all have our fingers crossed here and will keep you updated!!

Donisthorpe Hall Shortlisted for Prestigious Award in UK Health

Despite a record number of entries, Donisthorpe Hall has been shortlisted for the “Improving Care with Technology” category of the Health Service Journal (HSJ) awards. Donisthorpe Hall is privileged to be one of the West Yorkshire Care Homes that has been piloting The Phoenix Partnership’s (TPP) new SystmOne Care Homes Module. The scheme allows care homes to deliver safer, more personalised and coordinated care through the sharing of electronic medical records with GP’s and other urgent care providers. Staff are able to also add to these records, and even make medication requests which provides a very efficient and fast communication channel between local health providers and care staff. Ultimately this allows for better continuity of care for our residents, who are the main beneficiaries of the new scheme.

Donisthorpe Hall will have to deliver a presentation to a judging panel of influential figures from the healthcare sector. After seeing presentations from the other shortlisted organisations, this panel will decide who is the most deserving of the award. The awards will be presented on 19 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
