It has been a crazy few weeks here at Donisthorpe, first we had the World Cup event closely followed by Regina’s barbecue then a thank you party for our amazing walkers and an afternoon tea for residents in the new Trudi Moss Suite which is now in use daily for various activities. Our fantastic sun room is open allowing our residents to enjoy the sunshine 365 days of the year. Phew feeling tired just writing it down. Let’s hope the weather stays nice and we can enjoy lots of trips out and a day at the Races something we haven’t done for a few years, we are currently looking at which is the most wheelchair friendly local racecourse.

Come and join us for Fabian’s Grand Depart on Friday 25th July at 9.45am – see the news page for more details.

Donisthorpe’s biggest loser competition is in it’s second month, we have both lost about half a stone and the next weigh in is next Monday. I am going to win of course.

I must tell you we have just started the most delightful class. The lovely Marilyn Trovato is coming here every Tuesday afternoon to provide an Italian class for our residents, I don’t think I have ever heard so much laughter here, it is a lovely session.

And final for something completely different, the first Donny Dog show will be on 25th August 2014 – Bank Holiday Monday. Do come and join us for an afternoon of fun with the most pampered pooches in Leeds.
